Gaslight District Square to blair, galt

We’ve moved to well lit routes for the season!

Meet us in the square at the Gaslight District, near the big screen. We are extending the George St route by starting a little further back. We will run to the multi-use paved path along George St. N heading towards Blair Rd. With minimal road crossings, slight gradual inclines and some distance between the path and road, this is a great route for all ages and abilities.

Meeting spot:  64 Grand Ave. S. Cambridge

Distance:  20 minutes out and back. Due to early darkness we do not advise heading out further as Blair is not lit at night and there are no paved sidewalks. For those looking to add in some extra distance, downtown Galt is well lit all year.

Terrain:  Paved multi-use path following a paved road. This route is generally flat with soft inclines. Only two road crossings making this route safe for children in strollers and on bikes, with supervision.

Good for:  Social runners, walkers, stroller friendly, dogs on leashes.

Good to know:  Remember to keep right and make room for those passing, bikes or other pedestrians. The closest washrooms are located at Gaslight District, during business hours. There is a free covered parking lot at Gaslight District or a public lot just a little further up the road at 96 Grand Ave. S.
